Hope you are all enjoying some much needed sunshine (with SPF of course) and are having a great start to your summer. Summer always feels like the perfect time to slow down, enjoy your loved ones, a good playlist and some time at the lake to just reflect. As we reflect on the past few months here at PHI, one word comes to mind….BUSY. Busy doing what we love with the most special people and patients . Read below for a little update on our trainings, charity events, baby announcements (very exciting) and more.
Always Learning, Always Growing
We are always on the cutting edge of new technology & practices in the ever evolving medical aesthetics industry. All of us take great pride in consistently learning and growing our knowledge at various educational seminars. In June, we were fortunate to be selected to take part in the MD codes tour here in Calgary. MD codes is an advanced injector training hosted by the legend Dr. Mauricio de Maio. To learn from such an expert in the industry was an amazing experience that we will always remember. The PHI team also traveled to Vancouver to take part in a Botox learning seminar hosted by Allergan. Finally, we also participated in a Skin Medica event here in Calgary, where we learned about the latest and greatest in skincare. We are so lucky to have such great support and opportunity through Allergan.
Love for Lewiston
A cause near and dear to our hearts, The Love for Lewiston Foundation exists to create awareness and bring joyful experiences to those who need it most. They spread love and support to local families, and ultimately raise funds focused on treatments and finding a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy. In June, we attended Lewiston’s Birthday Party, Lewiston’s Golf Tournament and the Ride the Roof event. The Ace Class : Speaker Series
Recently, Lisa was asked to take part in an event hosted by the Ace Class, where she spoke on wellness, skincare & embracing our own beauty. This wellness series was designed to help you get in touch with your personal wellness goals, where you should be investing your time and why, and how to create a routine that works for you. Sarah and Ryan Visit Africa
In May, our Medical Director Ryan Frank and Nurse Injector Sarah Frank embarked on their third trip to Zimbabwe with the @operation_of_hope. On this mission they provided free facial reconstruction, primarily cleft lip and palate surgeries, as well as reconstructive surgery for burn victims. Please stay tuned on the blog for a full post on this heart warming story.
Clinic Events
We have also been busy hosting a series of events at the clinic lately. They are such a great opportunity to collaborate with other like minded businesses and meet some amazing members of our community. First, we hosted a group of fabulous men for our Brotox Social Club in March. These guys were up for a great time and were really impressed with what injectables could do for men (injectables are not just for women). Next, we hosted a special group of bride tribes and other bridal & beauty businesses. The general consensus with both events was that we all wanted to feel like the MOST FABULOUS version of ourself. Our Jillian is expecting!!!!
Looks like we will have PHI baby coming soon. Our nurse injector Jillian just announced that she is expecting a sweet baby boy. Join us in congratulating Jillian, Joel and big sis Ava. We all can’t wait to meet this little guy and we think he totally won the mama lottery. She will be with us until her due date on November 10, but she want’s her current patients not to worry. She will be back in no time and they will all be well-looked after here at PHI.
